“Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.”
The word God of as indicated to in the verse above says; God stretched His right hand and the earth swallowed Pharaoh and his chariots and the host that came with him to pursue the Israelites. As we observe this scripture, we realize that the “right hand of God” stands for the strength and agility, the skill and quickness of God. Whenever God stretches His hand, the enemy trembles and fall as God in His might brings deliverance to His people. “Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over , which thou has purchased” –(Exodus 15:16)A surpassing victory; signs and wondersarethereward of the righteous whenever God stretches His right hand against the enemy. When we observe the book of Psalm chapter 137:5 and 7; we realize that the right the hand of God preserves and saves the believer in times of trouble, “Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth”. It also shatters the plans and strategies of the enemy (foes).
“Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established”-(Exodus 15:17).
